Out of the Mouths of Babes

I just have to post two cute comments from Isaac and Livvy. When we were carving pumpkins at Mom's house, Livvy saw all my pumpkins seeds and said "look at these pumpkin poops". Then on Halloween, I was downstairs playing with Isaac and he said "Zeus is so handsome." How cute are they!

Connecticut Strikes Back

OK all you funksters, call off the hounds because I've finally got our blog up and running! Imagine my shock when I pleasantly logged on to our amicable family site, to see you've all been dropping lip about me!! No panicing clan, us Connecticutians aren't ones to get bent out of shape over such tripe, but don't let your guard down too much 'cause we'll be looking out for opportunities to dish out some of our own cheek!

Ha Ha! Just jokin' with ya! Truth be told, Teresa saved the day by helping me through the "background on your blog" crisis. All this stuff's not hard once you figure it out, but the figuring takes forever!! My housework's going kapoot right now with all this figuring (too bad I'm not getting paid...).

Sounds like ya'll had a great time when the Gardners and G.Funk came out to visit. We were very sad that we couldn't afford it yet again! :( Boo Hoo!

Sorry we have been crazy busy with all that has been going on with us. Next time we will put more stuff on. But in the meantime, here are a couple of cute pictures of our family, and the kids. We took these at Roshannah's brother's wedding.

14 Years Old

Today Brandon turned 14. There is no way I have a 14 year old - I don't feel any older and it seems just like yesterday that he was born. (okay maybe not yesterday), but it is crazy that he is 14.

He is such a great kid and I am very blessed to have him as my son. Happy Birthday B!

Can you believe it has been over a year since Tahoe?

Next summer when Kevin and Sarah come we will have to schedule for pictures. At least with all the grandkids!!! I was just going through pictures and came across this one, thought it would be nice to see most of our kids on there. Maybe we can photo shop Hayden and Jonah in there?

TWILIGHT--the MOVIE! It is coming girls of the Funk Household. I am sure...or at least hoping there will be a midnight showing on Nov 21, 2008. I have already scheduled the next day off so WHO'S WITH ME? Wonder if Sarah has read the books yet. Sarah ... You out there?

Labor Day

Brent, Hayden and I were crazy and decided to go for a hike on Labor Day. We invited Steph and B to come and Brent's Dad joined us as well.

If you remember that was the morning where is decided to be nice blue skies when we left at 8:00 and on are way down the mountian a huge grey storm cloud appeared over head and it started to rain and then hail. All was well though, we were all very wet except for Hayden. He stayed perfectly dry and slept the whole time.

We all know what a big Utah Fan Brent is. It looks like Hayden will be following in his footsteps.

Shootin' Millet's -

We went shooting Guns one day. Aaron found Dad's old guns in the basement of Mom's house and was thrilled to try them out. He also bought himself a gun for his birthday in '07. The kids had fun, except for the hot sticky weather, and the BUGS!!! As you can see, it was a little too loud for them. Olivia didn't want to even come out of the car. Mckenzie loved shooting, but didn't love the "squat N sit" so much when she just had to go!!! :)
